BIO
Shannon has been working in metals for 20 years, and came to metal clay in 2000. She is constantly gardening, tinkering, designing, sewing, building, brewing or knitting something. It all starts when she says, “I have this idea…” at which point her family runs and hides until the tornado has passed. She lives in Vermont with her (very patient) husband, daughter, son and dog.
SHOWS
When I was younger I loved to dig through the jewelry boxes of my maternal relatives. I would find little trinkets with a history, and imagined they were magic relics from a secret ritual. In time I collected jewelry from silver artists, finding things that were hand made and unique. I make things that I would wear, and want the owner of my work to feel as though they have found a special treasure.
